Hybrid Zoo Event
Project Description:
Designed a poster for a zoo event showcasing hybrid animals, combining elements of land and sea creatures.
Design Process:

Researched various hybrid animal concepts, and developed a children-focused hybrid animal.

Quote Poster:
Paul Rand
Project Description:
Designed a poster personifying the quote, “Don’t try to be original, just try to be good”.
Design Process:

Used Paul Rand’s work as a base.
-
Portrayed “Don’t try to be Original” in multiple colors and fonts, with circular motion, representing ‘trying to be original’. And “just try to be good” in sharp square with minimal color and font, signifying effective, good simplicity.

Harry & The Wig Factory
Project Description:
Designed the book cover, Table of Contents page, and a chapter spread for a fictitious children’s book called Harry & The Wig Factory.
Design Process:

Brainstormed on a potential story and elements to give character to the story.

Created a suspense vibe for the factory.

Acupuncturist/Herbalist
Project Description:
Designed a 'grand-opening' mailer brochure for an acupuncturist/herbalist, conveying the sense of traditional, time-tested, Asian medicine.
Design Process:

Brainstormed and researched on methods to convey Asian traditions.

Used Bamboo: it symbolizes moral virtue, grace, prosperity and simplicity in the Chinese culture.

Used Sun: it symbolizes yang energy, aligning with health and renewal.

Chose humanist serif fonts to create a traditional, warm vibe.
-
Used a color palette conveying health and vibrancy. The colors balance 'the traditional' with the touch of modern.

Used AI: Adobe Firefly, to generate needed imagery.

Designed a 12-page company booklet + gift voucher for an Edmonton based high-end charcuterie business.

Bear Can’t Sleep!
He fattened up eating tones of berries,
‘Oh, this year I’ll hibernate deep!’
But now, it is way over January,
but poor teddy just can’t fall asleep!
Project Description:
Designed a children’s book cover based on the theme:
an animal with a problem.
Design Process:

Brainstormed various concepts and finalized ‘a bear that can’t sleep during hibernation period’.

Used a monotonous look for the environment to display bleakness and helplessness.

Created title font to resemble the bear’s shape.

Brand Identity & Logo Design

Brand Identity Development:

Project Description:
Developed an entire brand from scratch including brand values, mission, vision, attributes, and brand promise.
Design Process:

Created a logo set, color palette and font selection focused on the values of ‘dog care’ and ‘community’.

Project Description:
Designed logo set for the client based on the keywords: Exploratory, Sensual, Earthy and Local.

Created over a 100 rough sketches based on a mindmap.

Used fonts that incorporate ‘inviting’ and ‘small batch’.

Created color palette to stand out from the competition.

Provided 3 logo sets to chose from.

Product & Packaging

Packaging:
EarthGen Shampoo
Project Description:
Pre-press course assignment for a clear shrink-wrap label.
Design Process:

Conceptualized the label to interact with the clear container and the shampoo inside.
-
Created the logo with relevant company name and color palette.
-
The white part of the label is transparent, including the dripping coconut water and the vertical bar.
-
Made sure that all text is 100% black and overprinted.
